Industrial ceramics for Heat treatment

Kiln furniture, retort components, thermocouple sheaths, belt-furnace supports, vacuum-furnace fixtures — heat treatment plant runs ceramic. Anderman supplies SiC, cordierite, mullite and alumina grades engineered for the cycling, atmospheres and temperatures the trade demands, with stock and partner production in both UK and France.

Why Anderman

Three things specifiers come back for

Full kiln-furniture range

SiC, cordierite, mullite and alumina kiln-furniture grades in setters, posts, batts, plates, retort tubes and refractory hangers — covering belt furnaces, batch furnaces, vacuum furnaces and salt-bath setups from one specifier.

Atmosphere-aware specification

Atmosphere matters: oxidising favours SiC and oxides; reducing and vacuum push toward higher purity and different binders. Specification accounts for both atmosphere and temperature, not temperature alone.

UK & France stock

Buffer stock in both UK and France against scheduled overhauls and unplanned breakages. The most-used kiln-furniture geometries available without lead time.

Challenges & solutions

Thermal demands of this industry

Setters, posts, batts, conveyor support

Belt and continuous furnaces use SiC setters, posts and batts for fast-cycle service — high thermal conductivity moves heat through the load fast, low expansion plus high strength tolerates repeated cycling. Cordierite is specified for high-thermal-shock zones and lower-cost setter geometry. Anderman supplies the full range of kiln-furniture shapes and bespoke sizes through partner production.
